Jake Berber, 26, is the co-founder and CEO of Prefer, where they make coffee without coffee beans to future proof coffees from the threat of climate change. He pursued neuroscience at university, delving into mental health solutions. After working in Biotech Startups, he began shifting his focus to sustainability as a Venture Capitalist investing in FoodTech. He then co-founded Prefer with Ding Jie Tan in 2022.

Jake envisions Prefer expanding to tackle more climate-sensitive crops to ensure food and beverage always remains affordable and sustainable.
